I'm back!! I know, I know. I've been gone a while. Why? Well, I'll tell more on that later. For now, I thought I'd share a quick tip. I live in an area that isn't known for specialty food shops. That means, I have to get creative if I want to "fancy up" my baked items. But one evening while eating at Cracker Barrel, I noticed that they have a lot of fun, hard to find inexpensive candies and food decorations. Sometimes you can find random food sprinkles and things at Ross/Marshalls/TJ Maxx, but Cracker Barrel carries seasonal candy and at least with Cracker Barrel, you know the candies are still fresh and tasty.
Check out what I picked up today:
They always have cute little seasonal toys too which is a bonus. That chick chirps when help in your hands. It's very cute and believe it or not, it was only 2 cents more at Cracker Barrel then at Walmart. Those cute little Peas & Carrots Jelly Bellies will be used to decorate the tops of Carrot Cake Cookies that I'm sending in to my son's teachers (I'll be posting more on that in a few days). Those huge candy buttons will make their way onto my son's birthday cake. The Jam is for my hubby. He loves that stuff.
